The recipient of the 2024 HIST-Substantia Outstanding Paper Award of the Division of the History of Chemistry (HIST) and Substantia is Dr. Alexander Kraft.  The paper is "Animal Oil, Wound Balm, Prussian Blue, the Fire and Light Principium and the Philosophers' Stone Made from Phosphorus: On the 350th Birthday of the Chymist Johann Conrad Dippel (1673-1734)", published in Vol. 7(2), 2023 of Substantia. The prize awards the best history paper that was published in Substantia, starting from 2024.

The HIST-Substantia Outstanding Paper Award consists of a check for €500 from Substantia.  Additional information about the award can be found on the HIST website at:
