I am very pleased to inform you that the Impact Factor of the Italian Journal of Agrometeorology has reached the value of 1.2, which represents the highest level ever reached in the course of its history.
At the same time, this has made it possible to reach, albeit only slightly, the third quartile in the agronomy category.
This excellent result is due to the collaboration of the whole community of agrometeorologists (readers, authors, reviewers, editors) and in particular of the Italian Association of Agrometeorologists which has always believed in and supported the IJAm.
Good job to all in the hope of continuing this important growth path

On one hand, current and future climate change is causing an increased evapotranspirative demand from the atmosphere, but on the other hand it is also affecting the availability of water for crops. As a result, ensuring water availability for the agricultural sector is a pressing issue and it is necessary to rethink irrigation management in order to improve water use efficiency and maintain or increase crop productivity.
