This thematic issue wants to address the pressing need for improved irrigation management, enhanced crop water use efficiency, and better forecasting of the impact of climate change on precipitation and, consequently, on water availability for crops.Through diverse contributions, we strive to provide the readers with essential tools and insights to adapt agricultural practices to emerging environmental challenges.
