Abstract
This contribution aims to highlight a lesser known yet significant aspect of Lidio Cipriani's scientific work: the photographic documentation of Eritrean rock art. Drawing on his handwritten diaries and previously unpublished photographic materials, the goal is to underscore the historical and archaeological value of some of his research, as well as the archival importance of these records.
