This thematic issue interrogates the crisis of globalization as both a material and conceptual framework, arguing that the present conjuncture can be grasped neither through the narrative of a borderless integrated world nor through that of deglobalization. The article proposes the drift as a critical practice of orientation in a world marked by multipolar tensions, ecological breakdown, and the collapse of inherited political categories. Thinking beyond globalization emerges not as a settled condition but as an open-ended critical and political task.
