Abstract

L’articolo esplora la lettura dei moti rivoluzionari proposta da Mary Wollstonecraft, in particolare attraverso l’analisi della Rivoluzione francese. Wollstonecraft analizza l’oppressione delle donne come forma di schiavitù, ma la usa anche come chiave di lettura per denunciare le ingiustizie socio-economiche e proporre una trasformazione radicale. La critica alla società mercantile e alla proprietà, nelle sue opere, si contrappone al ripensamento della sfera domestica come spazio politico alternativo. L’articolo mostra come l’esito di queste riflessioni sia riconsiderare la femminilità e costruire una nuova soggettività femminile basata su una forma di indipendenza collettiva, proponendo un’autonomia relazionale oltre le disillusioni delle speranze rivoluzionarie.
