Users are allowed to read, download, copy, distribute, print, search or link to the full texts of the articles, in accordance with the licence applied to each published contribution.
TRIBELON supports the principles of open scholarly communication and follows the open access policies of Firenze University Press.
Copyright and Licensing
Authors retain copyright of their work. Articles published in TRIBELON are distributed under a Creative Commons Attribution licence, unless otherwise stated on the article page and in the full text. The licence allows reuse, distribution and reproduction in any medium, provided that the original work is properly cited.
Licence information is displayed on each published article page and in the article files.
Author Charges
TRIBELON does not charge authors any fees at any stage of the publication process. There are no submission fees, editorial processing charges, article processing charges, page charges, colour charges, publication fees or withdrawal fees.
Peer Review
All research articles submitted to TRIBELON undergo editorial screening followed by double-blind peer review. Manuscripts considered suitable for the journal are normally evaluated by at least two independent reviewers selected for their expertise in the relevant field.
The final decision on publication is made by the Editor-in-Chief and the Editorial Board on the basis of the reviewers' reports, editorial assessment and compliance with the journal's aims, scope and ethical standards.
Special Issues
Special issues are part of the official TRIBELON volume and issue sequence. They follow the same editorial standards, ethical requirements and double-blind peer-review process as regular issues. Special issues are approved and supervised by the Editor-in-Chief and the Editorial Board.
Guest editors may support the development of a special issue, but final editorial responsibility remains with the journal. Papers submitted by guest editors or members of the special issue editorial team must be handled by independent editors and reviewers.
Publication Ethics
TRIBELON expects authors, reviewers and editors to follow the highest standards of publication ethics. Manuscripts must be original, properly attributed and free from plagiarism, data fabrication, image manipulation or other forms of research misconduct.
The journal follows the publication ethics policies of Firenze University Press and acts in accordance with internationally recognised principles for scholarly publishing.
Conflicts of Interest
Authors, reviewers and editors must disclose any financial, professional or personal relationships that could influence, or be perceived to influence, the evaluation, review or publication of a manuscript. When a conflict of interest is identified, the journal assigns the manuscript to an independent editor or reviewer.
Complaints and Appeals
Authors and readers may submit complaints or appeals concerning editorial decisions, publication ethics, peer review or published content by contacting the journal editorial office. Complaints and appeals are reviewed by the Editor-in-Chief and, when necessary, by members of the Editorial Board or the publisher.
Complaints should include a clear description of the issue and any relevant documentation. The journal aims to handle complaints in a fair, transparent and timely manner.
Corrections, Retractions and Expressions of Concern
TRIBELON may publish corrections, retractions or expressions of concern when significant errors, ethical issues or evidence of misconduct are identified after publication. Any post-publication notice will be linked to the affected article and will clearly state the reason for the notice.
The journal follows the correction and retraction procedures adopted by Firenze University Press.
Plagiarism and Similarity Check
Submitted manuscripts may be screened using similarity-checking tools, including Crossref Similarity Check (iThenticate), to help identify overlap with previously published work. Similarity reports are assessed by the editorial team and do not replace editorial judgement.
Archiving and Preservation
TRIBELON supports long-term preservation and access to published content through the archiving and preservation services adopted by Firenze University Press.
Advertising
TRIBELON does not publish commercial advertising on article pages. Any institutional communication related to the journal must remain clearly distinguishable from editorial content and must not influence editorial decisions.
