Abstract
In Stalker, il capolavoro metafisico del 1979 di Andrej Tarkovskij, il territorio proibito chiamato “Zona” non si offre allo sguardo come uno spazio da osservare o da descrivere, ma come un ambiente da attraversare, nel quale accesso, visibilità e senso sono regolati da condizioni che si manifestano solo attraverso l’esperienza. La conoscenza non coincide con la rappresentazione dello
spazio, ma emerge progressivamente dal percorso, dal tempo e dalle soglie che ne governano l’attraversamento. È da questa idea di spazio come esperienza regolata, più che come immagine da restituire, che prende forma una riflessione sul ruolo degli ambienti digitali interattivi e dei giochi applicati alla rappresentazione del patrimonio culturale, nei quali la forma e i caratteri materiali non sono dati autonomi, ma risultano subordinati all’esperienza che li rende significativi.
Nel dibattito contemporaneo sulla rappresentazione del patrimonio culturale, la diffusione di ambienti digitali interattivi e di dispositivi ludici impone una riflessione che riguarda direttamente il progetto della visibilità, dell’esperienza e della conoscenza. Gli applied games – sempre più presenti in contesti educativi, museali e territoriali – non possono essere letti come semplice
evoluzione tecnologica né come sola strategia comunicativa: interrogano la rappresentazione come pratica critica e come strumento di costruzione di senso.
