Abstract

Remembering the life of the Brazilian writer Carlos Magalhães de Azeredo, representative of Brazil at the Holy See from 1896 until 1934, this paper aims to examine how the ambassador, as an attentive observer of the Roman curia, interpreted the Vatican’s diplomacy and the catholic culture of his time.
